The Age of the Digital
is swimming around in my head too much.
Too many profiles and too many websites to check everyday.
I haven’t read a book for fun since I got my smartphone…..four months ago.
My life has changed, and not in a good way. I have also become exponentially more lazy.
I think I need to take a break from my iPhone and iMac. They are so pretty I don’t want to be apart. But ties...

Lupe Fiasco
is my recent inspiration.
I'm moving!
and my last couple roommates know how terrible of a packer I am! I leave so much behind, it’s ridiculous.
The big move is Friday. It’ll put me closer to the University where I will be finishing a degree in Environmental Policy. Very excited about that.
And I just booked a flight to Boulder.
I would.

after watching The Kennedys and Downton Abbey, I have started Breaking Bad.
I love TV.
dear friend-
I want to live in a place where wearing Xtra-Tufs everyday is acceptable, where life moves a little bit slower and I actually have to fear moose. Finding a place like this is the best thing that has ever happened to me, and my heart and soul very badly need to return!
However, new beginnings are here. Currently I am on the hunt for a job in the local West bend area due to my car, the POSM (Piece...

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson - amazing
This past weekend was spent outside in the cold, rain and howling wind. It was the Kenai Peninsula State Fair in Ninilchik, and apparently it was record worst Fair ever because of the horrid weather, no surprise, it was the worst I have seen all summer. Luckily, we didn’t have to camp outside in this rainy mess, we had access to a...
“Everything happens for a reason”; my question, does this really mean everything?
Even though I am still questioning some of the decisions that I’ve made, I regret nothing. I recently (a few hours ago) made a five hour drive with a very wise Malaysian woman who lives in between Alaska and Ecuador. She knows what’s up. She told stories of her life and gave me some guidance...
I can not put into words what I am thinking and feeling right now.
I feel grey and a little numb.
This stems from a mixture of:
1. Going to Beluga this past weekend. It’s a small town that can only be reached by plane, it’s off the road system. Very near Beluga is the mine site for the campaign on which I’m working. There are only about nine families that live there full...

dear friend.
Finished another book!
Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ’s Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore (funny. that is, if you know anything about the Bible and how much of Jesus’ life is missing. this book amazingly fills in the gaps.)
I have finally returned to Homer after a week in Anchorage followed by a week in Kenai for dip netting holiday. Much time was spent...
dear friend,
All of my muscles hurt. On Tuesday I climbed 3100 feet up to a mountain top on Grace Ridge.
The past six days were spent camping with my other Organizers, whom I love. I went up to Cooper Landing to camp, we saw four bears in one day! A mom and cubs, and then another across the river. We then went down to Seward, a small town in the mountains. They host a large race called Mount...

I got a bike today!
It was up in Anchorage and now it is finally here. yay! Though, I still miss Penelope.
I’m getting ready to head up to Cooper Landing this weekend to canvass people at the Russian River Ferry on the Russian River. The salmon are starting to come back, so shit’s getting busy. There is a rumor that a mamma bear and her cubs were spotted in the area. Great....
